Price recommends focusing on 3 key principles to move forward with your big data approach:
- Acquisition
Acquire all data from your source – even if you don’t have immediate plans for it – to prepare for an ever-changing environment
- Management
Follow best practices in information architecture frameworks and ensure proper data governance and security.
- Usage
Establish a plan outlining how you could and would use this wealth of information.
If you keep these three ideas in mind, you’ll be way ahead of many people in your industry. But it can be difficult to do all of this alone. That’s why finding the right technology partner to assist you should often be added to this list – consider it a bonus way to move forward.
